Inner strengths
My grandpa was the person I was closest to. He had a sort of charisma to him that I can’t explain. Everyone loved him. He taught me to be a strong and honest man and to do the right things. All he ever wanted was to see me get an education because he never had one.
I remember he was sick, and he got what seemed like deathly sick to me, but he was old, so I guess it always seemed that way. Anyway, he had to go feed his cows, and there were at least two feet of snow at the time.
Still, he did it, and I asked him where he found the strength to do that. He told me he just put one foot in front of the other, and so many times in my life, I have also used this memory and those words to push through something difficult.
