My grandmother has perked up I’ve been told!

After grandpa died suddenly we were all fearful that she would follow quickly because essentially they were so very close and interdependent, but my father’s brother (uncle) who is now living on the farm and running it with his second son, has told Papa that Nonna is less worried and low, she has been doing various tasks about the house, even doing their washing for them!

Of course, we do have to be careful and guard against anything complacent because Nonno was quickly unwell and then died. Morbid I know but in life you should never take those you love for granted because they might suddenly be taken from you in the blink of an eye! (I love these little English sayings that I have learned in my reading)
