Not sure about this

So my youngest boy goes counseling twice a month. He has since their mother left them. But today the counselor said he felt that he was doing fine and thought it was time to stop his appointment. They insurance company said he has reached his maximum limit on appointments this year.

I don't agree and I told him that. I said he still misses her and he still struggles with her leaving him.

He said well im sorry but if the insurance won't approve anymore appointments he couldn't do anything until next year.

I said I would request a new counselor and he said he wouldn't recommended it and my insurance wouldn't approve it either. He's reached him limit this year and would have to wait until next year to return to canceling.

I asked my hasn't my daughter reached her limit.

He said that was coded differently because my daughter has a diagnosis and my son does not.

He said he was sorry but it was out of his hands.

So I it's not his fault but holy f@ck I'm pissed off right now

I tired to call my insurance but apparently people start celebrating the 4th of July on July 1st and got voicemails.

So yeah I'm pissed right now

How much is it if you pay it out of pocket? Maybe you could do once a month. 🤷‍♂

@Musicman yeah I'm definitely going to look into that may not stick with the same counselor though I kind of feel like he might have tried to fight for my boy a little bit more he does have a diagnosis he is ADHD he's just not treated with medication right now. And the cost doesn't really matter if my boy needs it I'm going to get it done and find a way

@Cigarguy101 From the way he handled everything it sounds like he doesn't really care about you or your son. He never even offered you options.

@Musicman I think you're right. I'll get something figured out though.
