To make things clear to the reader here is a little list of details useful towards the understanding of my post.
1. My sisters companion never marrird her and was psichologically, emotionally, physically abusive towards her;
2. He asked, and obtained money from my sister. By money,I mean life savings;
3. They had a baby, Ylenia my niece.
4. My sisters companion derides me and my family defining me as a loser becausevI was single;
5. My sister leaves her companion after ylenia was born;
6. My sister grew Ylenia up by herself with our help;
7. My sisters ex companion has a new girlfriend and has a baby with her;
8. Ylenia grows up cold hearted and unable to express her feelings and trapped bewtween the rift between her mother and her father;
9. Ylenias father has an influence on her serenity;
10. Ylenias father NEVER GAVEVA PENNY during ylenias growing years. We did;
11. Ylenia grew up with a sort of distance towards us, tge ones that loved her truly and supported her;
12. Ylenias father continuosly in debt;
13. Ylenias father never ever availabl3 for ylenia whennshe needed a father. Hevwas fucking other women accumulating more debts;
14. My sister dies;
15. My niece inherits my sisters property and savings;
16. Ylenias father tries to shpw himself as a more loving father and does that by asking my niece money;
17. We never, ever, not even during the really bad times talk bad about ylenias father in her presence;
18. We trust ylenia to do the right thing with her propert and savings;
19. I accompany ylenia to the bank to suggest she puts hervsavings in a life insurance where I top up with cash twice a year;
20. Ylenias father asks my niece for money ;
21. We are very worried as he is in debt and has a family;
22. We still want to trust ylenia.
23. We are always there for her and she knows it though shevstill seems cold towards us;
24. She goes to a psychologist;
25. She never ever talked about her father with us. Shevwoyld have to admit the obvius. Ie. Her father is an monumental asshole;
26. My niece yesterday asked my mother to go shoping with her;
This mornimg during breakfast my mother told me that my niece yesterday during the car journey to the shops finally, and for the very first time, confided in her that she admits her biological father is an asshole and she needs to confront him and psychologically distance herself, emancipate herself from his destructive influence.
I gave been noticing how my niece is openimg up towards us. She loojs more comfortable with us.
We were ALWAYS the4e for her. Quietly in the background without disturbing, but we were, and continue to be always there for her.
I believe we did the best we could towards a very difficult situation.
Ylenia will graduate next year. She made it through some serious problems.
Because we were there for her.
Not her father.
Ylenia is slowly coming out of her shell and emancipating herself from her father. It's not a victory for me and my family. It's always sad.
Yet, she has to love herself more than she has to feel socially forced into respecting her father just because he is a biological farther,
The bastard has never earned being considered as such.
And maybe, I was not such a failure as he defined me to be.
