I Love My Cousins
Some of my best friends are cousins. They are actually the kids of first cousins....due to my large family most of my cousins are a lot older than me and their kids are more my age.
Ive been out to lunch today with a cousin and his wife. We spent the whole summer together when i was 11 and he was 12 when he came to visit his grandma (my aunt) who lived a few doors from me. Sadly 12 months later my aunt died .....and i never saw my cousin again!
Until 3 years ago....we met again at a family funeral.....and almost 40 years disappeared in a second! We both remembered that summer like it was last week! Anyway...we've stayed in touch since and today he and his wife came to visit and took me to lunch.
