I think that kids see their parents as people who have everything, and need nothing. They see us at "another level". Not at "their" level, with emotional needs etc. They're too busy sorting their lives out.I think. It's not that they don't care, it's that they don't think we have a human need to feel loved and appreciated.

I can understand how painful this must be for a parent. Parents spend so much of their lives raising and caring for their children, and all they ask for sometimes is a little love and a simple How are you? I hope children realize how much their presence and a little message can mean to you .
