Daughter Eating

I love my daughter dearly but I cannot stand the sound of her eating. It really irritates me :P

No wonder she is not in a relationship.

Do you have misophonia per chance?

@WaryWitchWandering I had to look that up; no I don't . She is just a slobby eater. She says when she is out she behaves.

@JimboSaturn I only asked because one of my cousins who I was super close with growing up had it and she still does… she loves her husband but constantly gives dagger eyes when he is eating certain things

Some people really dislike eating sounds (polite or not sounds)

Your daughter is an adult? If I remember correctly, and you were concerned about her health (weight related)…. Correct me if I’m wrong. If so, it may be just that you wish the food choices were healthier and then maybe any sounds or mess wouldn’t be a big deal?

@WaryWitchWandering I'm sure that could be a part of it! My annoyance with her food choices definitely could subconciously affect how I hear here eat. My wife finds her eating noise bad too but it doesn't annoy here like it does me. Yes she is 19.

@JimboSaturn I hope she will find a balance soon… and I hope you can let go a bit, because she is after all an adult . I know no matter what you love your daughter and want the best for her.

@WaryWitchWandering When I'm eating myself, I don't notice as much. I'm not that freaked out by it
