My hopes for my daughter

Oh my daughter as you sleep so peaceful in your bed,
I stand in awe and wonder at the dreams inside your head.
Are they of the things you've done, or those you've yet to do?
You cannot tell me what they are but here's my dreams for you.

That you grow up being fearless as you learn to explore.
Adventures around every corner, mystery behind every door,
May your eyes be open wide to all that is around
May nothing trouble your peaceful soul and may your sleep be sound.

That you can be tough as any warrior but still know its ok to cry.
That you know your future is a bright as the sun that's in the sky.
But do you know by biggest hope as all your dreams take flight,
Its this my wonderful amazing girl, please sleep through tonight!!!!
