Slept like crap because the cough kept waking me up. After waking at 3:30 from a coughing fit that basically robbed me of the ability to breathe for a minute and left me gasping on my knees beside the bed, I just said “Fuck it.” and started my day..
Here’s hoping this coffee and these Tylenol thingys get me through the morning. I have a lot of work to do.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I hope those pills help you function at work. I just took my Flu and Covid vaccines. I pray it's a long way away from hitting me. Get well soon. I've noticed healing takes about 7 days the third day seems the worst. Then it gets better. But those cold and flu meds REALLY help one feel functional.
@HikingMan My stepdad was a draftsman. Could tell you about every square inch of a building, amazing amount of knowledge. Always thought it a shame that when someone passes that knowledge goes with them. Besides which, he was quite a character.
@OlderSometimesWiser young workers are hard to come by these days. The construction industry as a whole is suffering from a lack of mid level guys that are ready to take control with knowledge and experience.
