School Meeting

Had a new thing this week, since I am both a teenage mum and an old mum (ie, I've had children many MANY years apart!) and I guess I just don't pay attention to my wife, who is a head teacher!

Back in the olden days, children just went to school and parents had parent's evenings and the occasional 'thing' if there was any trouble. That was it.

With Hope, my youngest, just hitting Secondary School age, the - I guess - whole new year was ushered in to a big meeting just about school ethos, their approach to integration, harassment and bullying.

It was a bit long winded, and I met some other mum's there, but it made me feel a bit more relaxed.

However, Kaz (the other 'arf who's the teacher) says that you get a grasp of just how good the school is if/when - god forbid - there things ever happen.

But it did put my mind at ease.

Just nice to know that they do this stuff these days.

🙂
