You ever hear something and it makes you cry?

My teenage daughter has a bf who spends a lot of time at our house. He is painfully quiet. I never know what to say to him. His mother died of cancer just last year. He keeps his feelings to himself. While talking to my daughter yesterday she said " you know what he said to me? He said I really love your mum". He talked about how he loves being at our house and doing family stuff with us. I had no idea. I must have cried for 10 mins. Im so glad we can give him that. 18 is a hard enough age, without losing your mother.

This post has been on my mind because I wasted so much of my life drinking my memory away and now my mom is elderly. I don't know how much time I have left with either of my parents.

@SinlessOnslaught life is short and just keeps passing. My dad died in 2020 he was only 65. My mum will be 70 this year. Its crazy.
@Kuronekko I'm sorry for your loss.
