I don’t want my kids to grow up
We are moving, and today I went down with my kids to our basement and had them go through boxes of their old books, school things, toys, etc. I asked them to pick and choose what was coming with us, what was being donated, and what was being tossed out.
I found boxes filled with my eldest’s primary school notebooks and homework, as well as toys I hadn’t seen in almost a decade.
I won’t lie, I cried a little seeing them go through piles and piles of old school work and toys. 😂
Luckily for me, neither of them wanted to toss out anything. Quite honestly their attachment to these items was a relief, because that means that I get to keep pieces of their childhood for a little bit longer.
