Spring will be here soon. I have an overwhelming feeling to buy new appliances. And to plant seeds. What do you want for your homestead?

I should get a new TV. Mine is from the prior century. It still works perfectly, but is a low-res CRT TV. Time to join the 21st century! I just hate to toss a perfectly good piece of equipment.

This summer I may look for a new apartment. I have been at my current one since 2009 and need a change. Newer ones keep popping up and are enticing me.

Today I am going to decide on what to do for my next vacation. I have the day off so have time to think. I have already done some research, but I need to make a some final decisions about flights, hotel rooms, and a car, and buy/reserve them all.

I am thinking of going to the Grand Canyon in mid-April. I need to decide, though, if it will be too cold, and if I want to do all that driving. There are no cheap hotels (or really any significant civilization) nearby, so I would have stay nearly an hour away. I have had to do something like that several times before when visiting US national parks, and the "commuting" got to be a pain. Yet it looks to be a straight, flat road. As long as I stay awake it will be fine! I just hope my rental car does not break down, it is the middle of the desert! Yet hopefully there is some cell service, and hopefully there will be other people on vacation passing by.

I need to start some plants and get things tidied up in the back yard when it gets warm enough to stay outside more

Would it be cheaper to plant seeds and grow your own appliances?

The only appliance I haven't replaced within the past year is my dishwasher. The outside of my house could to be painted. Rain will help the trees and grass. I have a trailer in the next county that is terrific in warm weather.
