Being a stay at home parent is SOOO overlooked.
Everyone thinks it’s “easy”, you “always have time”, “all you do is play with a baby all day.” It’s not easy.
I’m feeding, carrying, and playing with multiple kids WHILE trying to feed myself, go the bathroom, take a shower & clean up. I’m changing a diaper ALL. DAY. LONG. I’m constantly cleaning up throwup, blow outs, pee, messes, toys. You never stop doing SOMETHING.
I DONT ALWAYS HAVE TIME, I don’t even always have time for MYSELF & what I need to do.
It can be depressing as well, even if you’re so happy with your child all day long. I love my kids so much and wouldn’t trade it for the world & am super blessed I get to be a stay at home mom because I do know not everyone can afford to these days. But until you’ve done it, you do notttt know how depressing it is that your only interaction is with toddlers until your husband finally comes home at 5:30. “I want fruit snack” “I’m hungry” “I want peppa pig” “paw patrol” it’s all I hear on the daily but I also get to hear “I love you mommy” so I kinda do feel like I’m winning🥹
The battle between needing a break but never wanting to leave your kids IS VERY HARD. Although I’m posting this, I love being home with my babies everyday but I’m so tired of everyone acting like it is so easy and I have endless time because I do not work. THIS IS A JOB IN ITSELF by far & A LOT of parents could not do it no matter how good of a parent you are.
(Yes I know it’s hard to be a working parent and leave your baby, that’s why I’m not working 😁 So I don’t want to flip to that subject. Thanks)
