I Want to Be In a Healthy Loving Relationship

We usually tell ppl to leave an abusive relationship, however we need to tell them how to do so. I'm afriad to leave mine as im afraid my child grows up wo a father figure, I am holding on to hope that my bf will change, Im afraid I'll be cutting off a group of ppl that love my child. However he don't sleep w me, we don't communicate even when were on good terms and he has a lot of support from his friends.

Whatever you decide, the fact that you care that much about your son having a father figure indicates to me that you will make sure his needs are met. I grew up without a father and I wish my dad had chosen to be there. Even so, my mom made sure I had what I needed and always put her children first. If there is abuse, your son isn’t growing up with a father figure. A father figure shows his child a healthy relationship with the child’s mother. I hope you find peace in making the right decision.
