What I've learned from my Father

Our children exceed us, grow stronger and thrive, while our parents weaken

One becomes independent, another becomes dependent...

When my father had a stroke in 2010 the man that taught me everything I know became wheelchair bound and was never to speak a coherent sentence again. Losing his ability to speak did not silence him, did not stop him from showing me what life is.

Even now, 6 months after his passing, a picture of him smiling in his wheelchair on his last living birthday continues to teach me.

Life is just a short moment.
