There are leftists here laughing at a father being murdered. They'd laugh at you, too.

Well, MAYBE if you were publicly telling people that having people murdered every year was the price we should pay for our god-given right to guns, I MIGHT chuckle. But I don't laugh at the death, even if I can see the karmic side of it.
