Do you have a good relationship with your father?

I know there are serious strains in so many experiences of your father, but I am blessed to have a great relationship with mine! I am sorry for those who have such a poor relationship, I would only say that taking the time to examine the problems you have you might surprise yourselves that there are possibilities to find some kind of peace.

My Da is a peaceful man, he has never raised his hand to me, nor made threats, he has employed reason and tried to impart values which sometimes I have listened to, more often I didn't and I rebelled but I have known he was right! I am a daughter after all! Things changed for us as a family when my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident three years ago, just after I had started university and my sister had moved to Christchurch, New Zealand with her now husband.

I pray for those fathers who inside are good men estranged from their children by unforeseeable circumstances.
