I Think That Fathers Are Important

I am not curious(yellow) but I am a tad sad(blue). A friend came over and wwas fooling around with my tuner and this song was on.....just another oldy but moldy, you say but
sometimes music has associations.
I was going in on the train with my Father,my first ride on the Mighty LIRR and I lovd it.
Then we went to his office, then thee automat(Horn and Hardarts?)

I was getting the VIP tour,I think my Dad wanted me to see a lot of places that he realized would soon no longer exist. We took in a Broadway musical, then homewards via bus to Queens Village and finally the LIRR again.Someone had a transistor radio and this tune was playing, softly. We agreed that someday soon we'd take in the mighty Toots Shors restaurant
We never got there, fate had other plans for my father..it didn't really matter,Toots had died by then,indigent..sic gloria mundi
