When we got the house last year
I thought maybe this is too big. Do we really need this much space. Boy was I wrong.
So Joel and I had the master bedroom
The boys share a room
Star was her own room and when she moves out one of the boys will get her room
And Sissy has her own room
Then my buddy moved in, no problem we put his room down stairs.
Now grandma is wanting to stay with us for the winter to be able to help with the kids and Star more and honestly she is very lonely. So how could we tell her no.
So so I had to do some planning.
My buddy and Star are in our room because it's the only room big enough that her hospital bed, wheelchair and everything else would fit in the bathroom is very easy for her to get in and out of with her limited motability right now. And to still have a bed for my buddy to sleep in as well.
The boys and Sissy are still in their rooms and nothing is changing.
But honestly nobody can really stay downstairs right now. Joel and I do not want to be on a different level than the kids when they are at this age. And obviously Grandma does not need to be climbing up and down the steps every time she wants to go to her room or needs something so she can't stay down there.
And we can't move Star and my buddy down there because the restroom down there is very small and there is no way star could get a shower or even use the restroom. Plus it would be impossible to get her up and down stairs she would have to go out the back door and through the yard to leave the house for any doctor's appointments.
So we have a small room that I have my computer set up for when I work at home. Technically I guess it can't be a bedroom because it doesn't have a window other than that it would work.
We've done some measuring and discovered that a twin bed would fit in there with a recliner and a dresser and a TV if she wanted one and it would be perfect for Grandma. So it looks like we're getting another house gifts for the winter.
Before I can really say anything my buddy had ordered a new twin size bed a mattress and a dresser and a recliner for Grandma's room having it all delivered and set up by this afternoon. Thankfully I stopped him before he ordered the TV because we have plenty of TVs to move around LOL..
And I will simply just move my office stuff downstairs so I can work down there..
So this is my life this is my family all under One roof it's going to be a little crazy but I love it everyone coming together to help each other out.
