My dad ended up taking my husband to the hospital yesterday and he’s coming home soon

Thankfully he didn’t do any lasting damage to himself and he’s going to get the help he needs.

His drug tests were negative for everything else.

I’m still pretty upset with him for choosing to handle his issues like this rather than just leaning into his support system.

We’ll get past it I’m sure. But not today.

Glad your dad did and hope the hubby is okay.

@JackDaniels I’m grateful my dad was here to take control of the situation. He mostly took him to embarrass him a bit but it ended up he really did need to be checked out medically. He drained 750ml bottle in less than an hour so.

At first they treated it as a su*icide attempt but I guess determined he wasn’t an immediate threat to himself today.

I’m glad he’s safe but that doesn’t mean I want to look at him right now either.

@SwampFlower I understand and just glad they let him go. Hopefully lesson learn and you will soon.

@SwampFlower A Suic*** attempt? That would be going from horrible to catastrophic. Even if it wasn't an attempt, he is still going to need support to get back in the rails.

@ineedadrink I agree, I am glad it was “just” recklessness and impulsiveness.

He has support and will have more.
