This Ain't for Sissies

Living in family home w (hopefully) soon-to-be ex until house sells. Its been a tough couple days full of the kind of stuff that led to finally filing for divorce. Teeth marks firmly embedded in my tongue at this point.

Time to put my ear buds in, turn some tunes up from the smash rock playlist and spend an hour out spinning up mayhem at the business end of the weed whacker.

🙄🤬

How are things going? Is your house on the market? When I divorced my first wife, I bought her out by paying her
half the equity in the house. Of course it was a small house, and it was 1989, so very different money wise.

I should have deducted the taxes from the equity I paid her, but I didn't know. My future wife (married 30 years now)
told me that. I'm glad I married an accountant.
@DogMan Working on it to get it ready. Doing some myself .. got a couple pros coming for other things. Buying her out not an option right now, especially w youngest going on to postgraduate studies.

@BrandNewMan I did really well when I sold that little house. Like you I did a lot of the work myself.

Is she paying you for the work you are doing? I'm sure the answer is no, but she should, since she
will be benefitting from your labor.
@DogMan Its on the list for my lawyer of things to address in settlement proposal

@BrandNewMan 🍻 I don't think she realizes how much a guy can make in construction LOL. Keep track of your
hours.
