I haven't spent holidays with my old family almost 10 years now. I am away at work and didn't feel like being around draining people. It is draining to hear gossip and other relatives bringing each other down. I wish I was visiting my adopted family members instead

I was glad to spend Christmas alone. My mom and sisters all do their own thing on holidays. My cousin usually invites me to her house for Christmas, but this year they went to Disney.
