My mother does this thing

Where she hints around at wanting/needing something but then gets angry at you for offering for insinuating that she is a burden.

I normalized these mental gymnastics she made me play for so long but now I've been around healthy people too long.

It doesn't work on me anymore, lady. You're GROWN. Figure. It. Out.

Yes, I've even detached my siblings, with no contact. They are no longer part of who I am today.
Living alone with No criticism, gossip or comparisons which keeps me of a positive demeanor. 👍🏼

@eyeno I'm happy that you've been able to find peace.

I detached for a long time but have reconnected with some of my family and made new friends, built a lovely community around that. Have found a lot of healing in finding my people.
