I Have Family Members That Get On My Nerves

Damn all this time !
My mother always irritated me with her ' little girl ' role playing because it just looked and looks so fake and in private her personality is absolutely nothing like it.

Today it just hit me😳🙈!!!

Trying to emulate Marylin Monroe 😂😄😰
I wonder how many women of her generation did that and got away with it.
I do not think it works on other women though 😏

It just looks and feels absolutely dumb😄 but when I was small I was totally convinced that my mother had to be one of the dumbest woman in the world !

It may be for multiple reasons. As men, we like to be needed, so we can be attracted to someone who needs our “brains”. It can also lower expectations. It can be amusing if it makes people laugh (even if she is the joke). My guess is it’s either some insecurity or by now has just become a habit.

@revenant maybe, but in a marriage he may just accept that although your mom isn’t perfect, he loves her anyway. Maybe, your father is smart euro know that it’s wiser to offer grace than to try to change someone. 🙂
