I Have Family Members That Get On My Nerves

My dad. He keeps telling me that I'm going no where in life, and that he'll never forgive me for having my daughter. He even tried to get me to abort her. He never has anything positive to say to me, or my twin sister. Now that she's about to be a mother as well, he's becoming even worse with me like I rubbed off on her or something, despite the fact I don't have a social life. At the end of the day, we are the way we are because we just wanted to feel love from somewhere and we looked in the wrong places. In a few years when he doesn't see his grandchildren, maybe he'll figure out that his method of parenting doesn't work. I have no respect for him, or any parents like him.

There is a book out called Toxic People, I THINK THAT DEFINATIN FITS, are you still living in his house? BEING ON YOUR own would put some distance between him and his negativity, and give you a chance to heal from his abuse, even though it may take a great deal of time, and effort on your part. I wish for you the best.

@Silverwings Yes I'm still living in his house. With the way things turned out, I'm having a really hard time getting on my feet, but I hope to get out of here as soon as possible. Thank you for the support
