Time sure does fly.

Can't believe last week its been 28 years since my divorce!!
At first it was difficult for me dealing with the feelings of loneliness, not having children, grandchildren etc but now at the age of 53 I feel such a sense of freedom. I can do what I want, when I want & with whom I want.
Today I've been reading on here many sad posts about people feeling trapped in marriages/situations that they see no way out of & it reminded me of my situation all those years ago. Now I feel blessed I had no children with him & that I had the strength to leave my marriage when I did. I enjoy my own company & have some amazing friends. Being back here has awarded me with some new growing friendships too. If anyone needs an ear please know I'm here to chat in a non sub/domme way of course.

Most people, I feel, never give their selves a chance to find out they are pretty cool people.

I enjoy my own company immensely. So much so that I have had to go out of my way, recently, to seek out the company of others and intentionally avoided moving to a more isolated area.

I do isolation like a rock star. I have even found my brain making me feel like I was working with other people to give me the "I am not alone" feeling.
That one would take an hour or so to explain. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I love the company of others it's just I have a wildly inventive imagination and am always finding things to explore and learn and seldom feel anything like " I wish there was somebody to spend time with." Or " I'm lonely..".

Also I think I learned early on that people tend to disappoint me.

@Dainbramadge Thank you for your comment. I "get" the people disappointing comment. Sometimes I feel like that about humanity in general 🤷🏻‍♀
