With the price of gold these days, sell it. Your daughter would appreciate the cash more.

I gave mine to my daughter. 🙂
morrgin · F
@Unefilletrescurieuse How old was she?
@morrgin very young. I really don’t remember…
GoFish ·
i thought about divorce but never got there.. my solid gold wedding band is actually engraved with our last name inside it.. i actually bought it that way on ebay used of all things
Sounds like a good idea
I still have it, I thinking on changing the wedding ring, it’s actually at the jewellers now.

I’ve had my engagement ring redesigned into a different ring, not sure I’ll wear it but I can pass it on to my kids.

Saved it. watching the price of gold keep rising

Make the most expensive fishing lure out of it.

I might even tie it to my fishing line.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@LunarOrbit how many oz you reckon ?
morrgin · F
@LunarOrbit This has real potential
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
It was almost thirteen years aho, but I sold it.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Buried it in my backyard. Took almost 2 years for the indentation around my finger to go away.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Gave it back?
had i ever gotten married and then a divorce i'd just throw it in the trash
@beermeplease You kept theirs but would throw yours “in the trash”? If it’s sentimental, wouldn’t you want to keep it? 🤔
@Unefilletrescurieuse not if it was a sentimental thing that went sideways ..why would i want to keep a sentimental thing of a person i once loved only to have that relationship destroyed? i can't do it
@beermeplease I guess our meaning of sentimental is different. 🙂

I have it in a safety deposit box with other valuables

I never get or wear wedding rings, to me their a gimmick for jewelry stores.

To me wedding rings don't represent marriage - Your Love Does.

@EldritchFox Did you get close to what it was worth?
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
@morrgin Unfortunately no, but I didn't care at the time
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Mine is a 6mm platinum band from Tiffany’s. It’s sitting in a drawer, post divorce, collecting dust.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
He came over to the house I was renting and demanded it and another one back so I gave it to him. Told him I never planned on wearing them again (hint-hint). Then he had the nerve to try to gift the other ring to me at Christmas with his fake crocodile tears saying he didn’t have money to buy me anything else for Christmas. I told him I had no use for it and he could keep it. That was pretty civil of me because in my mind I wanted to tell him where he could shove it. The only reason I let him come over that morning was he used our daughter as an excuse. He thought his tears would soften my heart. No way, I saw through that.

I am very sorry to hear this.

I received my grandmothers eternity ring about 45 years ago and I was going to give it to my daughter when she turned 21 - my wife loves it and she still wears it - lol
MarineBob · 61-69, M
I put it in a zip lock bag with sugar and put it in her boyfriends gas tank of his company car.which was legal since it was oarked in my garage... Sheriff did think it was funny though
@MarineBob oh noes! 😮

That’s a good idea handing a failed marriage ring to someone else. I’d kill it with fire
Why didn't you give it back?
morrgin · F
@Royricky09 Maybe because out of all the years it's one of the few things that was authentic
@morrgin if divorced, it's not yours anymore. Authentic or not.
Lilnonames · F
for her marriage ?
