Finally divorced as of last year

Good riddance for both of us. She asked for 1200 to pay a past debt so I'm making 300 a month payments til that's paid. But anyway aside all that we were separated for 6 years and I've been alone . No woman will ever be able to destroy me again. I won't give the opportunity . She was only kind to me when she wanted something. Displaying her affections toward others instead of me. I didn't matter.

You may not be old enough to recall .. but the Our Gang guys might have had the right idea.

Hang in there. Mine is still is progress.

You are getting off cheap in the settlement. Consider yourself lucky there.

@BrandNewMan very lucky no contest I know. They are destroying men today and causing them to be homeless
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
@campfire I wont be homeless, but life wont be the same with her getting 1/2 my retirement. No kids at home .. paid for 2 degrees for her .. the laws on this are unfair

@BrandNewMan what you are saying happens in both ways so men are cheater not contented with what they have
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
@Kathleen23 Well .. this was a joke .. so ...

Not for nothing .. but my wife was the one that quit marriage counseling multiple times to avoid being accountable to basics of being an adult in a relationship.. and the one that was cheating.

Both sexes have their poor examples.

@BrandNewMan I’m sorry, that’s not right!

@FreeorLonely What part?
FreeorLonely · 51-55, F
@BrandNewMan being raked financially. 🫤

@FreeorLonely You dont know the half of it.

Same woman who only worked 13 of 31 yrs together .. 10 of them significantly underpaid and did nothing to try to find better jobs, still hasnt after earning a masters degree last May.

Would be eligible for >$3k/ month in alimony for up to 10 yrs if I didnt get involunarily retired in December.

That 1/2 of my retirement is a big # .. more than she will earn in her lifetime.

Yeah, its like that.
