'How old was I when my parents divorced?' I was just asked!
Intrusive family questions like this won't all be answered by me, but just so they are limited a little, I will answer this one. My parents marriage was difficult for quite a few years before they eventually split up and divorced, mostly because of my Dad's insistence that we wouldn't move to Stockholm, where my Mum was offered a good job at the university, especially when dad had just been made a professor at Lund.
I wasn't quite a teenager when the divorce was finalised, and the arrangements for me afterwards were quite difficult, especially when Mum moved us to Örebro, and I only had holidays with my Dad. I was fifteen when I decided I wanted to live with my Dad full time at home here in Trelleborg, just after Mum got married again. Örebro University, where she still works, was originally part of Uppsala university where I actually attended for three years. I didn't live with my mother during that period, since there is a distance between Uppsala and Örebro, and between Mum and me.
