I Think I Want a Divorce

Seriously feel so numb. I’m less stressed at work than home. I’d be happier on my own and starting to think the freedom might outweigh the damage of going through with it.

What have you done to take control of the situation at home?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@touchofgray So what have you done to take control of the situation? You simply listed a lot of things that won't solve anything. YOU need to take control of the situation. She is likely looking for your leadership and when you don't give it lashes out at you pushing even farther looking for the boundary she needs from you.

That’s the problem. I don’t feel like doing any more. It’s a constant battle. Then when she knows she’s pushed too far she’s perfect until it all starts again. @hippyjoe1955

@touchofgray Turn her over your knee and give her a good spanking.

Just know that, if you free yourself and go out there, at your age, you will need to be three things to get a date with a woman:

1. Male
2. Heterosexual
3. Alive

@touchofgray My mother was in an old folks home. She was in her nineties and the other women hated her because she had a boyfriend; he even had his own teeth and hair. The ratio at that age was one man per 20 women. The men walked around in suits with boutanieres like local celebrities with big smiles on their faces. Dating gets easier every year for a man. Aging heterosexual women wind up wistfully wishing they were lesbians.

Awe...I doubt that. Women can be attractive at any age.@greenmountaingal

@touchofgray Attractive, yes. Anyone at any age can be attractive. But demographics play a very significant role past a certain age.

In an almost sexless marriage myself...very hard on the relationship. Not sure I’d try to keep it together if it weren’t for the kids!

My son is 19 and actually confided that he doesn’t know why I’ve stayed. All this time I was keeping it together for him.@Justlookin

@touchofgray sounds familiar. Although my two are very young.
