I Don't Believe In Divorce

In her recent book Leila Miller has collected stories from the wreckage left behind in the wake of the first wholesale legal attack on the family. It was made in the early seventies when marriage was made into what lawyers call an "illusory contract" -- in other words, although marriage appears to be a meaningful contractual commitment between the parties, and goes through the formalities, it is actually no contract at all -- it can be breached at will.

Well everyone has their opinion so I will add my opinion to.I was against divorce to years ago but I changed my mind when I talked to kids and they said that their parents getting a divorce was the best thing because they did not have to hear their parents fighting day in and day out and their was peace in the house. And to me that is the most important thing Kids should not be put through that. I mean really. What's the point in living together when you cannot stand each other and the kids are in the middle and 90% of the time are forced to chose a side which is totally unfair and cruel to the child. If anyone should be getting a divorce it's the kids from the parents and the kids should be the first person to get the lawyer so the lawyer will look out for the kids so they are not used as ponds. People should really think what they put their kids through when the marriage goes wrong. Yes people should try and work things out and seek help but if all else fails get a divorce put some calm in the situation. And for once put your kids first and not yourselfs and how you can get even with your ex.
