I'm an independent author, and I published my ebook, The Daughter She Raised Too Soon, on Amazon for $5. It's a personal story about firstborn daughters who had to grow up too soon, carry responsibilities they never asked for, and watch others experience the childhood they wished they could have had.
My goal is to make $2,000 before the 16th of December. At $5 per book, I need more than 400 sales to reach my goal after Amazon's cut.
So far, I've made ONE sale. Just one. 😭 And honestly, that one sale is the reason I haven't given up yet. Someone actually chose to spend their money on something I created, and that gave me hope to keep going.
I'm so desperate to make this work that sometimes I feel like I'd get on my knees in front of a potential buyer and beg them to give my book a chance. Maybe that sounds crazy, but this dream means so much to me.
