Just learned a new term

“Brain stormlet.”

My daughter is being treated for MS, a condition just diagnosed this year.

A new med that is injected by the patient. She took her first dose yesterday, which prompted what she describes as a psychological vs physical panic attack.

“I KNEW it was not a panic attack but it still felt real”

Brain stormlet.

I just did a search, and the Always Iffy AI tells me
In multiple sclerosis (MS), the body's immune system attacks and destroys the myelin sheath, the fatty, protective layer that insulates nerve fibers, much like the insulation on an electrical wire. This damage, called demyelination, disrupts the transmission of nerve signals, causing a wide range of neurological symptoms.

I'm assuming the new drug has something to do with either protecting and/or repairing your daughter's myelin; do you happen to know any more about that?
@ElwoodBlues I think that’s correct. She described it as her brain tries to refuse entry to unknown factors.

In theory at least, a few injections will educate the brain to just open the door, and then the myelin repair/maintain can proceed.
