What if it were my school you bombed? Would it matter then at all?

I teach children who came here after they have lost everything..

They are brown, black, white..all colors that did not protect them from losing their homes.

I teach them when there is electricity and when there is none.

I even teach them about electricity itself, without enough electricity.

Just one dim light of a single lamp at night we continue.

Some of them are called adults by the simple accident of a number.

But they are children in the way that matters: they still look for meaning in the world. They are naive and they want to be happy.

Many have PTSD from things they have seen too early , loss and survival.

No one there will film documentaries about them. No one will thank them for their service so that your gasoline may be cheap.

Today I teach them physics.

But maybe I should ask them what they think about bombs falling on schools.

My daughter's school in the USA burned down, and we did not rebuild it. It was the last One in the state keeping track of the effectiveness of educational methods. Our district did not, not NOT have room for her that year, or the next.
Imagine puberty and All your friends disappear because the community had no school. That's rich rich rich.
