Finished work an hour or so ago. It has been a very long shift.

I had to stay over time.

I was so down by the end of it , but then a mother sent me a voice recording to ask about something health related.

Her child in the background called my name telling he will visit me. It is so adorable..so excited that he was joining to send me a message.

His mother was telling him to stop but he continued talking about his day. She gave up and let him talk for the rest of it. And then apologized to me.

He is 5. He is one of the kids I am teaching.

The excitement in his voice makes all my efforts with those kids worth it. I want them to love learning.
