When my late ex fiancee's younger son was a toddler his pediatrician suggested she give him half a benadryl, she got a second opinion, to which that dr reported him to the state medical board and was investigated, and lost his license to practice medicine. Turns out the half a benadryl thing is a massive no no. I am sorry to say, you have to deal with a kid that hates sleep.
