I had a freaky dream. It made me very sad.

The doctor gave me some stuff to help sleep cause I hadn’t slept in two nights. I was asleep and just like struggling to wake up. Anyways, I dreamed I had a baby boy and that I gave birth standing up. Was really weird. I had to clear the baby’s mouth out myself and but he was so beautiful. He looked liked a baby doll.

And I know most parents say that about their kids and have the time their babies look like little aliens but this baby was genuinely beautiful.

Anyway I woke up looking for him. It was really weird. I searched the whole hospital room freaking out and I got quite upset. The doctor came in and I told him and he helped calm me down and brought me back to bed. I know it was only a dream but I feel empty now. I want that baby. I feel lost.

Did anyone ever have dreams like this ?

I would imagine that most people have had dreams that have left a waking sense of longing. I tend to take the view that dreams cannot always be interpreted in a literal sense. The meaning behind them, or the cause of them, can be quite different to the subject matter. Violent dreams, for example, can be a manifestation of stress and have no connection to any violent desire or external threat.
