Any hope of getting the shoes back? But it sounds like they had a great time. 😁

@ineedadrink i’ve been out looking twice and my brother went out as well. No luck!!! Ofc 7yr old has noooo idea where she left them

Cant really afford new shoes but will have to go get her some cheap ones from kmart and hope she doesnt lose them again
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
@hannahJ Ah well, at this age she'd have grown out of them soon anyway. But I can understand your frustration. 🤗
hannahJ · F
@ineedadrink yeah it would be nicer if they werent pretty new shoes. But ah well. Thats kids i guess
Howudoin · 41-45, M
@hannahJ kmart is still a thing? Where?
hannahJ · F
@Howudoin defo a thing here in QLD australia!
Howudoin · 41-45, M
@hannahJ wow, I'm pretty sure they are entirely out of business here in the states
hannahJ · F
@Howudoin idk if they are related or not but we get the same about woolworths. Gone in the UK but big thing here. Unless its just the same name and entirely different thing i have no idea
Howudoin · 41-45, M
@hannahJ woolworths is also gone here in the states, and it was once a household name, like 30 years ago
hannahJ · F
@Howudoin lol well they do say australia is behind everywhere else
Howudoin · 41-45, M
@hannahJ still ahead of Canada i think
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@hannahJ Just let her play barefoot. Or is Australian flora and fauna really as dangerous as its reputation?
hannahJ · F
@ninalanyon she has to have shoes for school and if she’s playing out i prefer she wear them bc of the wildlife and glass and stuff. So had to buy her new ones
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@hannahJ I'm barefoot for the whole summer (too cold in the winter here) and glass really isn't a problem anywhere I have been in Northern Europe, Scandinavia, UK. Is it really that bad where you are?
hannahJ · F
@ninalanyon there are social issues here with certain groups and they like to leave broken bottles around. Theres usually some at the kids play park and just around random streets. 3/5 of the kids have stepped on glass before
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@hannahJ Ugh, that's horrible. It's such a pity you have to think about that sort of thing.
hannahJ · F
@ninalanyon its the least of my problems tbh haha
