@hannahJ Ah well, at this age she'd have grown out of them soon anyway. But I can understand your frustration. 🤗

@ineedadrink yeah it would be nicer if they werent pretty new shoes. But ah well. Thats kids i guess

@hannahJ Just let her play barefoot. Or is Australian flora and fauna really as dangerous as its reputation?
hannahJ · F
@ninalanyon she has to have shoes for school and if she’s playing out i prefer she wear them bc of the wildlife and glass and stuff. So had to buy her new ones

@hannahJ I'm barefoot for the whole summer (too cold in the winter here) and glass really isn't a problem anywhere I have been in Northern Europe, Scandinavia, UK. Is it really that bad where you are?
hannahJ · F
@ninalanyon there are social issues here with certain groups and they like to leave broken bottles around. Theres usually some at the kids play park and just around random streets. 3/5 of the kids have stepped on glass before

@hannahJ Ugh, that's horrible. It's such a pity you have to think about that sort of thing.

@ninalanyon its the least of my problems tbh haha
