I am speaking based on my wife's experience.

If this is post-partum depression, it is a medical condition. It is a hormone imbalance in the brain. It can be treated with medication that you would only need to take in the short term.

My wife refused to do so because she wanted to deal with things "naturally" and avoid pharmaceutical products.

As a result, she had a complete breakdown, got committed to the psych ward (with a toddler at home) and after being released has been on heavy doses of anti - psychotic and antidepressant drugs for over 30 years.

Please see a medical professional as soon as you can. They are used to dealing with this.
It sounds like post-partum depression. When did you give birth?

Do a web search for "Post-Partum Depression" and talk to your doctor about how you're feeling.
Babies are a lot of work. Being a parent is HARD.
Depression is likely the issue. You need to tell your doctor how you are feeling. They will understand and be able to help you.

Hey....it's tough having a baby and it does sound like you have post natal depression.
Don't suffer in silence....go see your GP.

It does get better.

When you have a baby, your entire life changes, major shift. You might be experiencing Post Partum Depression. You have to adjust your sleeping habits and cater to the baby. I don't know whether you have support from anyone or not but if not, you will be okay just be patient, pray, and if you can get some therapy. Don't give up, everything will be okay.

Have you tried throwing it away and getting a new one? Sounds like yours is faulty
