Why do some people have so many children?

Someone ik is pregnant with her 6th...I find it ridiculous and in some ways cruel, since the future looks so grim.

The future only looks grim because people stopped having larger families. When there is nothing but yourself to worry about you tend to get selfish and as we all know evil and selfishness go hand in hand.

@hippyjoe1955 it's the hardest job to be a parent...many are unfit for the job...the results are mental illness and homelessness. Better to keep families small.

@Wiseacre as a parent of 6 I completely disagree with you. Small families are a sign of an unhealthy society. You can get out of that illness by having more children.
