Answering the tough questions! [I Have Children]

My daughter is 16 almost 17 and right now her and her mother dont seem to see eye to eye on much. I told them I am a husband and a father not a referee they need to work it out. One day they got into and I went outside to get away from it. My daughter came out mad and said why did you marry her?? I thought and said I married her so I could have you as my daughter! I got a big hug and it makes it worth it all.

It’s a tough time in the home. But when she asks you something like that maybe it would be good to say something positive about your partner. Maybe something about how the two of them are more similar than they realize now. Or that the only way things can get better with their relationship is some patience & understanding on both sides. Neither of them is free of flaws so it isn’t fair for your daughter or wife to think so. Hope they can find a dialogue that will bring them closer in the end. I know what it’s like to clash with a parent & we nearly stopped talking but we worked it out & I think your family can too. Good luck.
