I Love My Children

Need to vent about my child's recent medical issues. Have to let it out or I think I will lose my mind and no one's around to listen. He's 15 and was finally diagnosed with a neurological disorder after years of dealing with seizures and other problems. He's also shown signs of endocrine issues. My heart is broken and I have no clue as to how to process this. Feel helpless.

I know you are feeling distraught and sad right now, but you cannot change the things of the past and now that you have a diagnosis he can begin to get a course of treatment. I'm certain you have taken ever step you could to reach this diagnoses which shows me you are a strong and powerful voice for your son. Let that inner warrior fuel you going forward. You, your son, and his doctors will have my prayers going forward on this journey. I'm so happy that you have a diagnosis and will be able to get treatment.

@Fungirlmmm thank you! Yes, although extremely worried, I know the diagnosis is a path to healing. Thank you for your prayers 💜

@TimeStandingStill Just dropping in to see if you had updates and to let you know I'm still praying.

@Fungirlmmm hi! That's so sweet of you, thank you. He's been doing good. Waiting on appointment with cardiologist.

I am really sorry to hear this, as a dad I can relate.
Stupid question: did the experts suggest a treatment?
TimeStandingStill · 46-50, F
@elbowsbehind right now they are trying to raise his sodium levels to stabilize him. We see the doctor on Tuesday and follow up with neurologist. I'm thinking that's where a long term plan will be put in place as the diagnosis was given at the hospital after a visit to the ER where he had to be transferred to Children's Hospital. It's the holiday weekend making the wait even worse.
elbowsbehind · 46-50, M
@TimeStandingStill I hope they will find a good solution. Hang on.

Nothing more difficult than worrying about our kids and feeling helpless to make it better. Remember in this to take care of you when you can, eat, sleep, stay strong. He doesn't need you to fix everything but he does need you by his side.

I'm sorry to hear this. Don't be disheartened you have to be strong for him and together you can fight this.

@TimeStandingStill my two favorites are funky farm tropical gummies or Liftmode Hemp multivitamin fruitflavor gummies. you can buy both online. both feel high quality and taste good. i take half the recommended dose at a time.
TimeStandingStill · 46-50, F
@Penny thank you, will definitely look into those. He's having a bad morning. Woke up with a terrible migraine.
