I Have Never Met My Biological Father

I was abandoned at birth and adopted, but I did end up meeting my birth mother and that side of my biological family. I have never met my birth father and can honestly say at this point in my life, after learning what I have about him and his side of my birth family (I did make contact with one of his brothers), that I'm fine without meeting him (and even the rest of his side of the family, for that matter). But I would still encourage anyone who has been adopted/abandoned and has questions to seek their answers - I feel it's much better to learn that you don't want to go down a certain road than to forever wonder what would have awaited you down a certain path, if only you would have tried.

I am sorry for your circumstances that led you to your search for your biological father. It's not always a rosy picture for some children to go through that. What ever positives you can make from it cherish them and hold onto them.
Yes, we would all love to hold and grow old with our biological parents but that is something out of our control sometimes.
My father left a wife and 6 kids behind and I was the youngest. He died and I went to settle his estate only to find a lifestyle that looked unimpressive. Good luck to you and thank you for sharing.

Ruby, she passed away 4 years ago today. We never became close, but we did manage to find a sort of peace between us before that happened. I was actually with her holding her hand when she passed.
Sorry to ask a personal question... Buy do you get along with your biological mother now?
