Today’s world it’s called abuse! Years ago called Discipline!

I don’t see an issue with a belt on a naughty child butt. Yes it hurts but it doesn’t cause nothing more than a red sore bottom. A consequence of misbehavior. I still believe it’s discipline when done without anger and screaming.
