how much should i offer to pay a babysitter????

there’s a girl who lives upstairs from my mom & she offered to babysit my 5mo daughter mon-fri, only for about 3ish hours a day until my mom gets off work, then my mom will take over..

she’s really just helping us out, but i obviously want to pay her fairly! what would y’all say is a reasonable amount to pay her per week? 💕

@Selah yes! i love her! she’s incredible w my daughter. & my mom works from home so my mom would be here if she needed anything lol

Depends upon her child skills, experience, and what shes going to do.... and her age of course.
Oh, and the age of the children.

- just be there and keep them safe ....prolly $10 bucks-ish per hour.

- keep them safe, play with them, prepare snacks...$15+ per hour.

- acutally get into neuro developmental play and art stuff, maybe around the $20 mark🤷‍♀

@OogieBoogie my daughter is 5 months old… aubrey is 19, doesn’t really have experience, but she’s really good with my daughter & my daughter loves her. aubrey is in college & takes classes online - she really doesn’t want me to pay her anything, says she’ll do it for free, but i do not want that, i wouldn’t feel right about not paying her something.. it’ll only be when i leave for work at 2:30 until my mom gets off work around 4:30ish or 5ish. my mom works from home so she’d be here if aubrey needed anything..
