I need another Becky but she is irreplaceable.

When my disabilities first became severe enough, we hired a lady to help look after me. She quickly became one of my favorite people in the whole world. She stayed with me until I learned how to live with my limitations and regained a lot of independence. She moved back home to Louisiana a while ago but we still talk almost every day.

Now I wish she was still here. I can’t imagine trusting another person as much in that capacity. My husband and auntie are amazing but they can’t do it forever.

So stressful.

Carers are so important and this is such an underestimated job really.
My mom is doing this, she's now caring for an elderly with Alzheimer's. She's taking it in with humour. Her daughter wants my mom to bathe her daily, but the lady hates water !!!:)) and other stories...

I understand how when you find a good match is hard... I hope you will find another one to click with nicely.. ❤

@being it is a very underestimated and underpaid job. Your mom sounds really awesome.

@SwampFlower she's been through a lot and though she knows how to care for another who is going through things. It is an underestimated job as you say...but I believe it can be healing for the carer too in many ways, you know...

@being I dont think people realize the bond we can form with our carers. I hope that it is beneficial for them too.
