It’s natural to wonder why your birth mother gave you up for adoption, but don’t jump to conclusions. She may have wanted you very much. She may have felt unable to provide a good home for you. You’re fortunate that you have a family who chose you and who loves you.

@gobphus Adoptive families, like regular families, vary. Not all adoptive families are loving and happy. In fact, being an adoptee is the only situation I know of in which, if you are abused, you are told to be grateful.
