I Was Adopted

When I was 13, my parents sat me down for a serious talk. I found out they weren't my birth parents. My birth mother was only 16 and the woman I had always thought was my mom knew the family. She and her husband adopted me.

I don't hate my birth mother. Someday I'd like to meet her and tell her thank you for letting me live and for letting me go with someone who could give me a better life.

I have a good friend whose bio-dad abandoned her and her younger sister. Her mom re-married and had several more children. Late in middle age she tracked down her bio-dad. Let me know if you would like to hear the results. They aren't surprising but I would rather share them in a private message.
