Any millennials who have successfully bought their own house and car?
I'm so sick of living with my parents. I've literally only been back to living with them for 6 weeks and I've had enough.
I've been taking cabs everywhere I need to go and it's such a headache (we don't have a structured public transport system here, and some of the options we do have just have mostly creepy men so I wouldn't take the chance)
So I asked my parents for the car today because I need to run some errands that require multiple stops and it's so so so hot and humid to take a cab today (their air conditioning is mostly broken because the cab drivers cannot afford to get their cars fixed) but my mom has to be mean to me.
She loves the cars more than she loves her daughter. She asked me to "take my sister along with me", my sister, who is the ugliest, meanest, and a disgustingly narc creature. I told her I won't have her tagging along my a.rse. But my mother said that she doesn't "trust me with the navigation" and I know that's code word for "I don't trust that you're going to run errands, you're probably going for a date" and of course me finding love would be the last thing that would sit well with that woman, as she has expressed before, given that she had a car crash of a marriage. That being said, no, I'm extremely single, and not looking to date anyway. So she is winning in that department anyway.
Talking about car crashes: so I DID proceed to remind her of how her GOLDEN CHILD crashed our family's most expensive car (right into another one because she is a horrible driver who speeds), just after a few times that she was trusted with it.
Yeah, somehow this golden child is responsible for making sure I drive safe. 🤡
Love truly is blind.
